Affiliate Staff Spotlight

Why affiliate with Social Work prn?

"As a recent affiliate of Social Work PRN, I feel fortunate to have been placed in a position where the responsibilities match my interests, skills and experience.  SWPRN gives high priority to compatibility between social worker and employer.  My personal experience is that this results in an effective and mutually gratifying relationship.
The Baltimore-Washington, DC staff of SWPRN is competent, caring and collaborative.  They offer opportunities for peer relating, networking and career development through training.  They have provided me the unique opportunity to have gainful employment while also affording me desired flexibility for personal pursuits.  I highly recommend them as a rewarding alternative to traditional employment."

Why use Social Work prn for your staffing needs?

"The McClendon Center has worked with Social Work PRN for more than five years, but never have we been so challenged with the need for social workers until last y ear when our agency underwent a major expansion.  Our rather small outpatient clinic tripled in size in five months.  We knew our need for intake workers was temporary since we were only going to take in so many new clients, so Social Work PRN was a perfect option for us.

Affiliate Staff Spotlight

working as a chaplain on an Indian reservation and  administrative positions with Child Hope Foundation, Christian Children's Fund and Visions in Action.  Dave lived and worked in Ghana for Church World Service and later served in their NYC headquarters as CWS Manager of Overseas Program Administration.  Additionally, Dave has experience in health care as Director of the CDC National HIV/AIDS Hotline.
Dave brings well honed analytical skills and the ability to develop rapport with culturally diverse populations to his present practice of social work. Presently, Dave is further expanding his career by working in a temporary position through Social Work prn as a Family Reunification and Child Placement specialist with a DC multi service faith based agency.

Why use Social Work prn for your staffing needs?

"The McClendon Center has worked with Social Work PRN for more than five years, but never have we been so challenged with the need for social workers until last year when our agency underwent a major expansion.  Our rather small outpatient clinic tripled in size in five months.  We knew our need for intake workers was temporary since we were only going to take in so many new clients, so Social W ork PRN was a perfect option for us.  Janan sent us three licensed social workers who conducted back-to-back intakes for three months.  All of these professionals were great at building rapport, gathering the right information, and documenting their services the same day they were delivered.  We have utilized Social Work PRN since then due to our clinical director being on maternity leave, and that has preserved the sanity of the other social workers who are already covering other duties.

Without an option for temporary staffing, existing staff can be spread too thin.  Without professional staffing, quality work just can't happen.  The McClendon Center relies on Social Work PRN to give us professionals we need to do a quality job, and only for the time we really need their services.  Social Work PRN has been a lifesaver."
