Robin Guiney, LCSW-R has been working in the Sex Abuse and Trauma Unit (SATU) for the Orange County Department of Mental Health for 15 years. She is frequently called to testify as an expert witness in sex abuse cases, and has worked with hundreds of children, teens, and families who are recovering from the trauma of sexual abuse and assault.

Topic: This training will provide an overview of recognizing and understanding the signs, symptoms, and issues of childhood and adolescent sexual abuse, and developing therapeutic interventions. It is meant to serve as an introduction for clinicians learning to help these youth and families.

Cost: Free for Social Work p.r.n. affiliates. $25 for non-affiliates

CE hours: 3 CE hours will be given to people who attend the training and complete and evaluation form/assessment. The NYS continuing education regulations state there can be no credit given for anyone who leaves before training is completed or for those who arrive late
